Jackson Hole Rec House Remodel
Jackson Hole Rec House Remodel
Guest House Renovation in Jackson Hole, WY
This guest house is part of the garage building on a Wilson, Wyoming property. We completely overhauled all living + dining spaces, and added a wing of bedrooms above the garage, to accommodate visiting friends and family.
The owner had a vision of an eclectic mix of high-tech and old-world influences coming together in a sumptuous bespoke bar + rec room. Together with Helius Lighting and Willow Creek Woodworks, we designed a curved bar cabinet with variable lighting moods. An in-ground wine cellar was integrated into the design, allowing wine storage without sacrificing square footage. Custom Tiffany lighting, a 19th century pool table, and a modern twist on a Persian rug complete the aesthetic. The living room, kitchen, and bathrooms exude a more subdued, earthy palette that echoes the main house. Luxurious extras, such as a Japanese soaking tub in the bathroom, ensure the ultimate in hospitality—and guests who never want to leave.

Making room
To make room for our clients' vision of a rec room downstairs, we added a wing of bedrooms above the existing garage.

Mixology
Cool metal mixes with warm wood throughout the guest + main house. Thin sheets of waxed, blackened steel upholster select walls in the rec room, reflecting the light-up bar with interesting effects.

Fully stocked
A custom underfloor wine cellar is an integral part of the bar.

See-through stair
This custom staircase mixes metal, wood, and glass in keeping with the palette throughout the compound. Floating risers keep an open feel.

Nifty nightstands
Bunk room guests get custom metal shelves with reading lights.

Five-star amenities
Winter guests have a Japanese soaking tub for warming up après-ski.
