Molly + Casey's Kitchen
Kitchen Remodel in Vancouver, WA
A tired galley kitchen was refreshed with a classic design for a couple who love to read and cook.
Molly + Casey's Washington home had great bones and much potential. They wanted a kitchen that would be the perfect spot to accommodate their young family and allow easy hanging out with friends. A classic palette gets a modern spin, with a two-tone scheme of painted cabinets and natural oak for open shelving. A sun-splashed breakfast nook looks out onto the garden.
Cooking with books
As the daughter of a renowned food writer, Molly wanted ample space for cookbooks. Rift-sawn oak gives the bookshelves a natural finish, and plays well with the painted cabinetry.
Classic + modern
Brass hardware meets blue-grey cabinetry and crisp white countertops.
The owner's love of beadboard is evoked in the backsplash, a cement treatment.
